The closures will affect about 10,000 workers.

The yearlong celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Ford Model T began in March and the iconic vehicle will be honored throughout 2008 in a series of national events.

In conjunction with Ford Motor Company and Ford Motor Company Fund, the celebration began at the 2008 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in Amelia Island, Fla., March 7-9.

Classic Cars, Cadillac to Chrysler, Featured On New U.S. Postage Stamps

Vintage car enthusiasts will soon have another way to appreciate the classic vehicles they enjoy. The U.S. Postal Service will feature five classic cars on the new 42-cent stamps.

The stamps will feature paintings of a 1957 Chrysler 300C, 1957 Lincoln Premiere, 1957 Pontiac Safari, 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk and 1959 Cadillac Eldorado.

The price of sending a first-class letter will increase one cent to 42 cents May 12, but the classic car stamps won’t be available until October.

Vintage car were first depicted on U.S. postage stamp in 2005. The earlier series featured: a 1952 Nash Healey, 1953 53 Chevrolet Corvette, 1953 Studebaker Starliner, 19554 Kaiser Darrin and a 1955 Ford Thunderbird.
