Looking For Cheap Gas? Try South Carolina

If you’re driving anywhere near South Carolina, and need to fill up the tank, it’ll likely be worth the time and effort to find your way to Georgetown.

Prices have slipped below $3 per gallon, including a price of $2.86 at the Winyah One Stop on Highmarket Street. One nearby station even reached the $2.72 mark before increasing its prices.

According to drivers and passersby, the line at the Winyah One Stop was long. The store’s owners claim they’ll retain cheap prices as long as they can.

There has been one problem, however. In all the excitement for low prices, there’s been a brisk increase in “fender bender” accidents in the parking lot and near the gas pumps of the store.

Iceland has set high environmental targets, receiving global acclaim as a clean energy leader.

In Japan, the zero-emissions iMiEV electric vehicle is currently in fleet testing with seven electric power companies, and is currently in development for a 2009 launch.

BMW, 128i, 2008: The Weekly Driver (Video Review)

After much anticipation, earlier this year BMW introduced to the United States its 128 series. It’s the German manufacturer’s reasonably priced coupe and convertible, and it couldn’t have been introduced at a better time. From my weekly drive with the 128i convertible and its 3.0-liter, 230-horsepower inline six-cylinder engine, the car is an unqualified success. Videographer Bruce Aldrich and I present another in the continuing series of TheWeeklyDriver.com new car video reviews.
