Like the Volkswagen Beetle and the Ford Model T, Toyota considers the Prius an iconic car. Is Toyota correct? Unlike any other car made in the last 100 years, the Prius has brought back electricity as a viable way to power a car. It opened the door for the Chevy Volt, the Tesla, and hundreds of other cars that will soon join the Hybrid and EV car craze. Today we test the 2010 Toyota Prius V to find out if the third generation Prius can carry the torch as the hybrid car poster child and live up to Toyota's expectations.

After Jaguar spent 10 years of building cars like the S and X types, the equivalent of a bad copies of copies of bad copies, the well-regarded car manufacturer had to do something special to put the growl back in the cat. A few months ago, Roman Mica became a contributing editor to TheWeeklyDriver.com. With his latest video review, Mica takes a three-minute look at the 2010 Lexus 450h hybrid. In Mica's assessment, the vehicle's interior is stunning and comfortable. And he's impressed by the car's quiet, powerful hybrid engine and its gas mileage as a luxury vehicle. He's not as keen on the car's exterior design.

After much anticipation, reservations for the Tata Nano, the India-manufactured car some automobile experts believe will be as influential as the Model T Ford and the Volkswagen Beetle, will be available for March 23 in more than 400 dealerships in India. The Nano, billed as the world's cheapest car and nicknamed "The People's Car," will cost an estimated $1,945 or 100,00 rupees, the currency of India.

After much anticipation, earlier this year BMW introduced to the United States its 128 series. It’s the German manufacturer’s reasonably priced coupe and convertible, and it couldn’t have been introduced at a better time. From my weekly drive with the 128i convertible and its 3.0-liter, 230-horsepower inline six-cylinder engine, the car is an unqualified success. Videographer Bruce Aldrich and I present another of in the continuing series of new car video reviews.

The  2008 Audi A8 W12 is the German manufacturer's powerful top-of-the-line sedan. It nearly a small apartment considering the spaciousness, powerful sound system, rear-seat refrigerator and solar sunroof. Videographer Bruce Aldrich and I take a look and the luxurious  Audi.

The Pontiac, G8 is the first full-size, rear-wheel drive sedan from Pontiac since the 1986 Bonneville. The G8 replaces the Bonneville, which ended production with its 2005 model and the Grand Prix, which will cease its tenure with the 2008 model. Pontiac also has a hopeful third market share responsibility for the G8, since it also replaces the V8-powered GTO coupe, which was discontinued in 2006. Videographer Bruce Aldrich and I take a look at the new power brokers from Pontiac.
